10 years of anything is kind of a big deal, so when James St Up Late turned 10 on Thursday 31 March we threw a huge street-wide party. Double digits mean double the fun, right? Fun is what was had from 5 – 8PM as the street came alive with vibey beats by local legend Levi Birks and electric blue lighting.
It was a dangerous night to be a credit card with boutiques offering one-night-only purchasing perks, new collections, and sample sales (insert Romance Was Born and Gary Bigeni at Gail Sorronda here).
Pop-ups were aplenty too with a Fashion for the Floods shop by Label Pig, Customisation Station by The Daily Edited, and complementary cannoli by Jocelyn’s Provisions (we miss you JP!).
All the stars were out too with an artist in residence (yes, Camargue!), and designer and creative director meet and greets – we are looking at you Assembly Label, St. Agni, and Venroy! There were games at Silk Laundry, fairy floss at Molten Store, and matcha gelato at Aje to name some of the sweetest treats.
Treats came in all forms and sizes, like the 1,000 limited-edition Party Bags that were filled with loads of party favours and went in lightning speed to the first shoppers who purchased.
Finally, the finale… James St’s finest bars partied late into the night with live music at Bar Tano, Hellenika, SK Steak and Oyster, LOS, and Sixes And Sevens.
Luckily for you, we caught it all on camera! Hit play on the official Up Late Vol. 10 (Twin Palms Mix) playlist while looking through the 10/10 event gallery here.
