Travel to Sicily for the night at Mosconi on Thursday 14 November with Alessandro di Camporeale Winery owner and winemaker Benedetto Alessandro. Diners are invited to transport their palate to the region, as Benedetto speaks all things Sicily and wine.
The Alessandro di Camporeale Winery, near Palermo in Sicily specialises in showcasing the native grapes of the region – Catarratto, Grillo, Nero d’Avola and Shiraz. Benedetto and his family are firm believers that wine should tell the story of a region and its heritage. All wine is certified organic and their long-term vision is to keep the vinery in the best possible condition for future generations.
To complement the wine varietals, Head Chef Catherine Anders has designed a multiple course menu for the evening. What’s on the menu is still hush, hush but if it’s anything like what is served daily at Mosconi, clean plates post-meal are expected throughout the restaurant. Tickets are $110 per person and include five-courses, with matched wine, a pre-dinner aperitif and a glass of Franciacorta. Divine! Call or email Mosconi to secure your spot.
