Calile Culture x Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses

Everyone knows that The Calile Hotel is an architectural masterpiece and the most ideal holiday location in Australia. There is however more than meets the eye when it comes to The Calile. This Hotel has been able to amplify its creative expression and engage the wider community through a curated event series, Calile Culture, where guests have the opportunity to immerse in literature, theatre, dance and arts.

This month, The Calile is looking towards fashion and presenting a discussion about Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses prior to the exhibition at QAGOMA. At this in-conversation evening on Thursday 13 June Nina Miall, Curator, International Art (QAGOMA), will appear in conversation with Edwina McCann, Editorial Director and Publisher News Prestige and Conde Nast titles Australia to discuss the story of the exhibition which features close to 100 haute couture garments. If you’ve got an eye for fashion, you may have seen these garments on A-listers including Beyonce, Björk, Cate Blanchett, Lady Gaga and Tilda Swinton.
