The Calile x Australasian Dance Collective

The Calile puts on its dancing shoes

“When you wish to connect to many people with art, surely it is best to make art with many people.”

A statement penned in 2021 for the James St Guide Book by the Artistic Director of Australian Dance Collective (ADC) Amy Hollingworth that felt fitting to re-share as The Calile welcomes an exciting new partnership with ADC.

ADC is a leading contemporary dance company comprising artists, creatives and collaborators working together to connect, empower and inspire. In the spirit of collaboration, their upcoming performance Lucie in The Sky is set to merge dance and technology by way of integrating five drone dancers with professional performers at QPAC Playhouse.

The Calile is proud to be supporting the ‘leader’ drone called ‘M’ which is considered a trailblazer to its fellow entertainers. To celebrate the world-first production, The Calile has launched a one-night-only Lucie In The Calile package for Friday 12 May. Here are the details:

  • Accommodation for two in a Poolside Room
  • Breakfast for two in Lobby Bar
  • Three-course dinner and wine for two in Lobby Bar
  • Two tickets to Lucie In the Sky performance at QPAC
  • Return transfers to and from the performance at QPAC
  • Behind the scenes meet and greet with Amy Hollingsworth

The package is limited and tickets to the must-see production are available here via the ADC website. For more on the collaborative partnership between ADC and The Calile see here or read the essay entitled Collaboration by Amy on page 28 of the 2021 James St Guide Book here.
