Your Survival Guide to Splendour in the Grass

Festival season is upon us, and it’s going to be splendid! That’s right, Splendour in the Grass is soon approaching, which means three days of mud, music and deck chairs. Chances are you’re already planning your killer festival attire – but if you’re still a little uncertain whether to channel Kate Moss or Kate Bosworth, here’s a little style guide to inspire you (sans flower crowns)…

BLUE JEANS FROM CALEXICO

Breathable, movable, loveable: denim will undoubtedly forever be a festival staple. Cue denim from Isabel Marant. With a comfortable mid-rise and cut with a little bit of ankle, these will be your festival uniform (if you can manage to keep them clean).

BOOTS FROM ZOMP

Run, hop, skip and jump with these killer festival appropriate boots from ZOMP. They’ll protect your little tootsies from overly-excited festival goers, and also won’t show the mud (as long as you don’t step in it…)

ENLIGHTENED ILLUMINATING BALM FROM MECCA COSMETICA

No festival beauty kit is equipped without a lil’ glow. This Illuminating Balm from Mecca Cosmetica is easy to apply and easy to travel with. Put a little on your cheek bones, down the bridge of your nose, on your cupid’s bow, and wherever else you need a little bit of shine. Voila!

TOWEL FROM ST BARTS

If you’re brave enough and want to take a dip between sets, then this towel by The Beach People from St Barts is just what you need! Or, if the weather isn’t in your favour, turn it into a festival appropriate picnic blanket!

RAINCOAT FROM GORMAN

If previous SITG’s prove anything, it’s that rain is usually inevitable. So, you may as well look good while you’re getting down during the downpour! This raincoat from Gorman  will be your best friend!

SUNGLASSES FROM ONEPOINTSEVENFOUR

Shades, among other things, are the one item you should NEVER leave at home. Whatever the weather, a good pair of sunnies will level-up any outfit. This pair by Thom Browne from OPSF should do the trick!

CROSS BODY BAG FROM SAMANTHA OGILVIE

You know that time when you moshed too hard and your phone fell out of your pocket and was lost forever? Learn from your mistakes with this little cross body bag from Jérôme Dreyfuss! Fringed, suede and just the right size for the essentials!
