Your Long Weekend Survival Guide…

The best thing about Easter (other than the copious amount of chocolate we indulge in) is of course, the four day long weekend. Whether you’re heading to the coast to relax, or road tripin’ down to Byron for Bluesfest, we’ve got your weekend essentials covered. Quick tip: most things are closed on Good Friday so over pack with regard to food AND clothes AND EVERYTHING… You won’t regret it.

If your anything like us then jumping into a bikini after eating a whole chocolate Easter bunny isn’t an ideal situation, so let’s think “cover-ups” instead, and where else to get the perfect resort attire than Camilla or Zimmermann?! In perfect Zimmermann form, they have launched their latest swim collection just in time for the long weekend and luckily for us, Weather Zone has predicted four 30degree days… Voila!

We would be lying if we said one pair of shoes would be suitable for a four-day weekend. Let’s aim for three: #1 sneakers, #2 a stiletto, #3 leather sandals. We recommend Golden Goose sneakers from Camargue, Senso heels from Zomp and a pair of leather Isabel Marrant sandals from Calexico. If your not the stiletto type, don’t sweat it, dressing sneakers “up” is the latest trend out of the Big Apple, ask Victoria Beckham.

Everyone needs a killer pair of shades for a weekend away! Opitko stocks Céline, Fendi and Am Eyewear (to name a few) you are assured to find the perfect pair. Or, if you are swooning over mirrored glasses, Samantha Ogilvie is your one-stop-shop, stocking the latest collection of Dior mirrored lenses… The hardest part is picking a colour!

Let’s be honest, most holidays consist of running around after the kids or laying on a day bed for hours on end, which means saying goodbye to that blow-wave and hello to lifeless hair, but we have the solution… Wear a hat! Not only will you be rocking the latest trend, you will be covering that salty-frizzy-mane, it’s a win, win. We recommend a Lack of Colours hat from Tyson and Peppa; they are available in multiple colours and styles.

And last but definitely not least, REMEMBER TO PACK THE CHOCOLATE (and hot-cross buns, and champagne). As always, The Nut Market has the most amazing array of Easter treats, Jocelyn’s Provisions has your baked goods sorted and Cru Bar & Cellar has your champagne on ice. You have until end of day tomorrow to purchase… HURRY!!!!!!
