Look good, feel good

Wearable Art By Bared Footwear

Art meets sneaker meets charity. Bared Footwear has once again launched a cool limited edition sneaker in partnership with First Nations-led charity, Children’s Ground. The 2023 edition has been designed in collaboration with Barkindji artist, Caitlyn Davies-Plummer whose pink, purple and peachy hued artwork from her ‘Paradise’ collection has been fashionably transferred to a sneaker – it’s wearable art! The artwork was inspired by her Country – her favourite place.

“This piece showcases the land that reminds me of Country: the river, mountains and dry desert. Every time I look at this painting, I feel peaceful and it transports me to my favourite place. It is so important to me that I am able to give back to the community through my art. The thought my art is able to generate funds to be given back into the community makes me so happy,” says Caitlyn.

Children’s Ground is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering First Nations communications in Alice Springs, Darwin and West Arnhem Land and surrounding communities. Bared Footwear has proudly support the charity since 2019 and during this time as has donated over $74,000. By purchasing the ‘Whimbrel Caityn Davies’ sneaker you too can help with $50 from every sneaker sold going directly to the charity.
