There are many things to love about James St’s soon to open hotel – The Calile. First to mind, the oh so impressive line-up of retailers checking in, the impeccable design by Richards and Spence, the location (yes, we are biased) and the adjoining laneway, Ada Lane, which will play home to brand new restaurants, but wait, there’s more! The good news just keeps rolling in, introducing KAILO Wellness Medispa and Forme Fitness.
KAILO and Forme Fitness are the respective day spa and gym operators, which will occupy part of the hotel’s pool deck level. In spaces designed by Richards and Spence, both operators will house some of the most advanced and stylish facilities for guests and locals alike.
KAILO is the brainchild of spa specialist Meaghan South, who is the former creator and owner of The Dome Retreat, which in 1998 established a new standard of spa service in Australia! KAILO will provide a holistic wellness experience where ancient wisdom meets modern approaches to skin health, medical aesthetics and beauty essentials.
“We’re creating a special environment at KAILO – think lush outdoor parlour, something that you would find in the sub-tropics with a very earthy authentic feel,” said South.
South, currently Outshine on James St, and knew The Calile was the ideal location for her next vision to come to life.
“The Calile is the perfect home for KAILO – I resonated with the integrity of the hotel vision in that every detail has been considered to ensure that the guest experience will be extraordinary and memorable.”
Partnering with South is Brisbane Cosmetic Medicine Specialist Doctor Edwina Morgan. Doctor Morgan will lead a team of professional paramedical therapists and doctors in KAILO for medical aesthetics.
“It was an honour to be asked to join KAILO, and practice alongside women who share my ideas of rejuvenation medicine, and a nurturing approach to patient care,” said Dr Morgan.
The Calile will also welcome Forme Fitness to its wellness offering. Forme Fitness will feature state-of-the-art equipment and training methods, in a boutique space with well-considered amenities and luxurious facilities.
Owner Tristian Forbes, who has been in the fitness industry for over ten years, and his team, will offer a full service to both hotel guests and local members.
“I wanted people to believe that they are training in the best, the newest, the most desired gym in Brisbane. I wanted a space that people from all over Australia and the world want to visit because of its offering and its aesthetics,” Forbes stated.
Forme Fitness will be available to hotel guests and local members with personal training services as well as small private group classes.
Forme Fitness and KAILO will elevate the standard of hotel gyms and wellness spaces on offer for guests and the public in Queensland with their holistic and sophisticated standards in wellness.
