Gourmet Takeaway

Many of our James Street hospitality staff can’t work from home – but they still want you to enjoy their tasty offerings in the comfort of your own home. In response to COVID–19, the finest restaurants, markets, cafes and bakeries on James St have added take-out and delivery to their offerings.

Support your favourite local eateries while you can. The list below will be updated as new information becomes available.


Botanica Real Food

Salad aficionados Botanica are open and serving from their New Farm store. Perfect for those working from home or craving a nutritious meal.



CANTINHO’s food and beverage menu is now available for takeaway. Customers are encouraged to use the Boppleapp to make an order in advance of collection. CANTINHO has also added owner Michael’s Grandma’s recipe for traditional Pastitsio to the menu. Made with layers of pasta, mince and bechamel sauce and served in a family tray, the dish can be frozen-thawed and reheated to serve to all of the relatives.


CRU Bar + Cellar

To make things a little easier CRU, are now offering same-day local contactless delivery for wine orders. All orders can be placed via the phone or email and just require a call when you arrive at the James St Markets and the team will the wine into the car for you.


Gelato Messina

From their Ada Lane shopfront, Gelato Messina are serving takeaway single, double, triple even tubs of their signature and rotating specials. Customers can even order delivery using the Deliveroo app.


Gerard’s Bistro

Gerard’s Bistro’s dinner menu is now available in the comfort of your home. For $40 per person, diners can enjoy a rotating set menu comprising of customers favourites. You can view the menu here or via Gerard’s Bistro and Head Chef Adam Wolfers Instagram accounts each morning. Pick-up or delivery is available within a 4km radius. FreshFishCo and FreshSushiCo

FreshSushiCo full menu of the likes of Soba Noodles, Chicken Dumplings and of course, Sushi is available for takeaway. Plus FreshFishCo will still receive fresh fish from its fisherman, which they can also vacuum pack for customers to freeze as they wish. Both venues now also offer a drop off service to customers cars in the James St Market car park.


James St Bakery

Situated in the James St Markets alongside The Standard Market Company, the bakery is continuing to bake bread, pastries and lunch items fresh from their onsite kitchen.


Jocelyn’s Provisions

A new take-home meal menu has been launched, giving customers the options to enjoy quality food prepared in Jocelyn’s Provisions kitchen in the comfort of their own home. The healthy meals range from Three-cheese Parmigiana to Jocelyn’s Provisions Cottage Pie in a rotating weekly menu. Available for pre-order over the phone, they are also offering a car concierge pick-up services or contactless home delivery. View the full menu here.


Lobby Bar

The Calile Hotel’s own Lobby Bar is open and here to serve takeaway coffee using beans by Fortitude Coffee Roasters.



The chefs at Mosconi have been creating a home-style pasta menu available for pick up. Think, Pappardelle, Wagyu Beef Ragu, Porcini Mushroom and Aged Parmesan, Potato Gnocchi, Tomato, Confit Garlic, Chilli, Black Olive Crumb and more– Bellisimo! Plus, the team in-venue will even deliver the food to your car.


Same Same

The restaurant has created a contact-free takeaway service. Available from 5:30PM Monday to Sunday and 12:00PM – 3:00PM Friday to Sunday. Spoon Deli Cafe

The cafe’s delicious deli menu, coffee and cabinets items are available for takeaway either in-store or via Ubereats.


The Nut Market

To help keep your house nourished with non-perishable items, The Nut Market have custom created Lockdown Boxes. The family medium and large and Easter boxes support local growers and producers and feature a range of best-seller items. There are gluten-free and vegan-friendly options available and customers can create their own box too. For those unable to visit in-store, customers can place orders online and receive free Australia wide delivery.


The Yiros Shop

The iconic Yiros Shop signatures will now be available for delivery from UberEats, Deliveroo, and The Yiros Shop app. First-time customers of The Yiros Shop app can use the discount code YIROSAPP to receive 15% off their first order.
