James St Up Late

Starry Night, James St Delight.

The stars will align on Thursday 23 March from 5 –8PM for James St Up Late! The eleventh instalment of our annual street wide event will welcome the largest schedule to date, with 80 businesses offering one-night only discounts, one-off menus, purchasing perks, styling services, star-studded appearances, soirées and in-venue DJs.

Our newest residents, Bared Footwear, Désordre, MCM House, SIR. and Studio Gallery will be joining the celebrations for the very first time. The duo behind SIR. Sophie Coote and Nikki Campbell will be in attendance and are enthusiastic to join our once-a-year party.

“James St is a hive of activity which is what drew us to open our SIR. boutique in the precinct. Sophie and I look forward to seeing how the area comes to life for a street wide celebration and will be in the boutique for one-on-one styling advice. We can’t wait!” said Campbell.

Also making the trip from down south is MCM House Founder, Charles Hinkfuss who’s set to host an MCM House party and exhibition launch alongside friend and popular artist Damion Downey.

Hinkfuss said, “we are launching the showroom with a creative collaboration on the night. Daimon will launch his art show called ‘No! You’re Crazy!’ and we will bring the Up Late energy with a DJ, refreshments, 20% discount and complimentary MCM House merchandise”.

Other Australian stars in sight will be Sean Venturi of Venroy, Amy Finlayson from ANINE BING in Calexico, Angelique Andronis of By Baby and Gail Sorronda of her namesake label.

We will supply the party favours in the form of 1,000 totally desirable tote bags filled with products and exclusive offers. The bags will be available at participating retailers to the first 1,000 shoppers to make a purchase. The canvas edition is sturdier than ever – meaning, they are filled with more than ever too. We are talking silky contributions from Slip®; natural products from ROCC Naturals; boutique brews from Tavalon Tea; spring water from Vessel; daily mantras from Mirror Merch; organic treats from Proper Crisps; fashion and fitness tape from SKINES and glowing beauty samples from Go-To and Simplicité to name just a few treats from friends of the street. With the contents of these canvas collectables ever growing, stay up to date with the latest contributions here.

There will also be over $10,000 worth of James St prizes to win at the first ever James St Spin to Win wheel. Located in James Lane adjacent to Sixes And Sevens, and featuring prizes from James St businesses (including The Calile Hotel) to be won by those that make a minimum spend at participating James St retailers during Up Late. Attendees that make a purchase on the night can also pick up a pretty posy via the Up Late Flower Stall. 100 bunches of artfully arranged bouquets with a little James St touch will be available to the first purchasers to show their receipt from participating retailers. T+Cs for both activations apply.

For retailer offers, attendees can thank their lucky stars with discounts ranging from 10, 15 or 20% at the likes of Assembly Label, bassike, Bec + Bridge, By Baby, Elka Collective, St. Agni and Wolfe & Ordnance, gifts with purchases aplenty and complimentary refreshments in abundance to keep the party going. A dinner reservation is essential on the night, as is trying the limited-edition Gelato Messina flavour and one-night only margarita mix at LOS Bar. For those who wish to stay that bit longer, The Calile Hotel and Sage Hotel have come to the party with Up Late rates. Use code JSUL for 20% off bookings on the night at The Calile Hotel and 15% off Up Late and future stays at Sage Hotel.
