Scandi street style...

Spring is near – shoutout to the Scandinavian “it girls” for providing us with some serious outfit inspiration from Copenhagen Fashion Week (#CPHFW).

From easy breezy floral maxi’s teamed with striking angular shades to cowboy boots (yes, you read that correctly), scroll down to view five must-do looks for the season ahead…

All hail the power of accessories.

Eyewear proved to be the go-to accessory of choice, from “speed-dealers” aka thin acetate glasses, cat-eyed shaped shades, to those with a mirrored red lens – you get the point glasses, cool glasses were prominent throughout the week.

Easy and breezy comfort.

Copenhagen was awash with loose tailoring and easy breezy smock dresses during fashion week. Mixing luxury and comfort is a chic aesthetic which can be mimicked for poolside cocktails, more formal occasions or nonchalantly bike riding to fashion week.

Small doesn’t mean subtle.

Attention: the micro bag trend isn’t over yet, in fact, it’s still very much in and in a big way. On the streets of #CPHFW, small bags didn’t translate to little impact rather, proved to be a sure-fire to attract attention, whether worn over your shoulder, as pictured or placed in a bike basket.

A cowboy on a catwalk.

Cowboy boots were the unexpected comeback on the catwalks in Milan Fashion Week earlier this year and this western trend was very noticeable on the Copenhagen streets too! Team your boots with a linen shirt, layered crisp dress and delicate bag like above and voila your boots are made for walking street side or down a catwalk!

Sneaker crush.

The thick-soled and chunky “dad sneaker” which were once a 90s relic were out in full force during Copenhagen Fashion Week! Paired with ruffles, smock dresses and linen trousers alike, dad sneakers were bigger and more colourful than ever.
