Mum's the word...

Spoil your Mum with a day on James Street!

With so many things competing for your attention gift-wise, it might be that you just want to spend the day with your Mum, spoiling her to the ultimate day on James Street, and showing her how special she really is.

Start the day off correctly with a quick stop at Flower Trap in the James Street Markets to pick up a beautiful bunch of florals for your Mum that show her how much you appreciate her. Every woman loves walking about with a huge bunch of flowers in tow… Sneaky side glances and smiles are heading her way, guaranteed!

Time for the perfect light lunch at Harvey’s, and by perfect light lunch, we mean one of their amaaaaaaazing Asian Chicken Salads!  Grab an outside table, order a glass of vino, and enjoy the afternoon as you reflect back on all the great times with Mum!

Head to Brooklyn Beauty Bar to indulge in a pamper sesh fit for the stars.  Bond with your mum over your love for treating yourself over a few tipples in this New York inspired space.  With their fully stocked bar, you can enjoy a mojito with your manicure or a pinot with your pedicure, but be sure to book in advance, as their mani pedi sessions are known to be a sell out.

Head to the Palace Cinemas and immerse yourself in Spanish Culture at the Spanish Film Festival 2014.  We recommend Tasting Menu, a film about a selection of guests connected by their love of food and wine who unite to celebrate the final evening of a world-famous seaside Catalan restaurant before it closes its doors for good.  Aim to make the 4:00pm session, as it’s your last chance to catch this film on Australian shores!  The best part?  We are giving away two double passes to the movie of your choice!  All you have to do is subscribe to our weekly newsletter here.

Of course, no James Street day would be complete without a tipple of the best French Champagne from Cru Bar.  For over 10 years, the well-heeled crowd has been watching people go by as they sip French champagne, and now it’s your turn.  Order from their extensive wine list, and maybe move on to a few cocktails later in the night… A heads up – their famous Mojito’s are delicious but deadly!
