In the lead up to Market Day, head to CRU Bar + Cellar for a number of ‘off menu’ specials. Long term fans might spot a much-missed dish from CRU’s 19-year history, listed next to new plates from award-winning chef Richard Ousby. Enjoy them alone or add a matched wine from their cellar.

TWO | A MARKET DISH AT MOSCONI
In the lead up to Market Day, Mosconi will offer their own special dish in celebration of James Street Food and Wine Trail. Based on market availability, the dish’s details will be shared on social media as the date approaches… rumour has it might be based on one of owner Mark Rotolone’s own recipes.

THREE | ‘SNACKS & FACTS’
Award winning chef Alanna Sapwell will guide guests with insight and honesty on how they can make better, sustainable choices when consuming seafood, both at home, and dining out in this first installment of ‘Snacks and Facts’.
Currently at Esmay, and formerly of Arc and Saint Peter, Sapwell will appear at James Street Food and Wine Trail in partnership with Jocelyn’s Provisions and CRU Bar + Cellar. Designed to be an evening that is as interactive as it is informative, guests will leave truly satiated both from Sapwell’s sustainable seafood snacks, knowledge and selection of pours from the CRU Bar + Cellar. Not to mention the gift box they’ll take home.

FOUR | WELLNESS WITH THE CALILE
What’s better than one morning yoga session with The Calile Hotel’s resident yogi, Jess Wing? Two. Held beside Lobby Bar’s rooftop kitchen garden, overlooking the local neighbourhood, Jess will guide guests for an hour through a powerful vinyasa flow designed to calm the mind, strengthen the body and awaken the appetite.

FIVE | LOUIS ROEDERER LUNCH
PJ McMillan and the Harveys Bar + Bistro team will bring two of their great loves – a long lunch of seasonal produce and pours from a celebrated champagne house – together in the one seating for Market Day. Met with a glass of Louis Roederer Brut Premier upon arrival, guests can opt for two or three courses of McMillan’s signature and celebrated fare. So too additional pours of 2013 and 2014 vintages from Louis Roederer to match.
