Scanlan Theodore officially launched their beautiful new store in the precinct, giving fashionistas and VIP guests an intimate preview of the latest autumn winter collection. A veritable who’s who of Brisbane braved the rain and came out in force to enjoy flowing bubbles and canapés by Harvey’s as they explored the racks of beautifully tailored clothing in the architecturally inspired space.
The new collection puts focus on fabrics and cuts, ensuring a silhouette that is not only architectural but feminine and streamlined. Boasting cap-sleeved dresses, cape-shaped jackets and coats, A-line skirts, high-V-shaped collars and radical shapes, the collection comes together to form elegant urban armour for the modern woman.
Little distinction is made between notions of ‘day’ or ‘evening’ dressing, as the ease of the garments make them work-appropriate, and their chic appeal takes them straight onto the dance floor at night. The attitude of the wearer transforms the clothes, and never the other way around.
Photographers were on hand to capture the evening. You can find the full album on Facebook.
Scanlan Theodore is now open at 34 James St.
