In news just in, sass & bide has launched their Fall Spring 2018 collection, Mystic Devine and it’s set to arrive in-store on James St later this month!
Paying homage to the humble beginnings of sass & bide at the London Portobello Market, the collection draws inspiration from the transformative age in fashion, music, and feminism occurring in London during the 1960s and 1970s.
The collections muse is 1970’s “London it girl” Pattie Boyd’s imaginary granddaughter raiding the depths of her vintage wardrobe. Boyd was the wife and muse of The Beatles musician George Harrison in the mid-1960s and her fascination and interest in Maharishi Indian mysticism and transcendental meditation influenced her style and what other women wore in the era.
Mystic Devine, celebrates the progressive energy of the period with bold, geometric prints, signature monochrome stripes and custom paisley graphic drama. Think wide-legged flares, handkerchief hemlines flowing silk shirts and pop of colour in hues of geranium, orange and blue to represent the creativity and freedom of expression synonymous with the era.
