Step into Health Place on James St and you’re immediately welcomed with their signature scent of lime and coconut – the relaxation process is instant.
Not that of a day spa, or a traditional health clinic, Health Place provides massage treatments to relax muscles, aid injury recovery, improve joint mobility and flexibility, and most importantly to restore a feeling of well-being.
We’ve tried and tested a Health Place massage and my oh my, it was something else! If you’re like us and sit behind a desk five days a week, you’re probably not surprised to hear that it ‘does knot’ (see what we did there?) have positive effects on your neck and back. Unknown to some, common knowledge to others, whatever the case, one should not ignore the subtle stresses that your muscles and joints go through on a daily basis.
For us, it only took a thirty-minute consultation to establish that tightness was present in the neck and should area – followed by a hands on remedial message, instant relief was provided. The massage process was ultra relaxing – light massage oils/moisturises were applied however no oily residue was apparent, nor were overly fragrant lavender eye masks, or an uncomfortably romantic setting (phew!).
The massage therapists at Health Place have an extensive amount of experience in delivering high quality massage treatments and are currently servicing the likes of Cirque du Soleil, the Queensland Triathlon Series, The Brisbane Bullets and Jeff Horn to name just a few. Health Place offers not only a range of massages, but many other services such as dry needling, Musculoskeletal Therapy and dietary guidance as well. It’s important to note that on the spot Health Fund rebates are available (T&C’s apply).
