Christmas Cocktails!

The silly season calls for many things, but a great cocktail recipe to serve family and friends is a key ingredient for festivities.

This cocktail pays homage to New York in the summer, with blackberries, raspberries, and cognac. Feast your eyes (and lips) on the perfect recipe for The Big Appleberry.

You’ll need

large red seedless grapes
60 ml cloudy apple juice
45 ml Cognac
10 ml lemon juice, or to taste
1 tsp caster sugar
To serve:blackberries or raspberries and apple slices


Crush berries and grapes with a muddler or wooden spoon in a cocktail shaker or bar glass.  Add all remaining ingredients, then half fill the shaker with ice.  Shake well, and strain into a tall glass filled with ice.  Garnish with berries and apple slices, and enjoy poolside with the family.
