Epicurean adventure around the globe...

Go global at the 2014 James Street Food & Wine Trail!

Join us from the 31st of July until the 3rd of August for the third inaugural James Street Food & Wine Trail!  Be transported on an epicurean adventure around the globe with this years James Street Food & Wine Trail.

Showcasing food from around the globe, your favourite James Street food destinations have put together a global smorgasbord from some of the most enviable international destinations.

Thai-born Chow House chef, Timmy Kemp has created a mouth-watering Sitting Duck feast celebrating all things duck for the trail.  The special three-course menu will partner duck with classic flavours and matched wines.

Gerard’s Bistro are putting on their Mojito Embassy once again this year, erecting a temple in the Gerard’s Laneway dedicated to these refreshing, minty, and utterly addictive cocktails.  Indulge in the world’s freshest cocktail, close your eyes, and imagine yourself lying on a pool chair on a beach in Cuba.

Taste a bite of North Africa in the Urban Picnic Zone this year, with the Gerard’s team also taking on a North African Roast Lamb street food stall.

Using an extensive range of ingredients, James St Cooking School have created a unique cuisine of their own, featuring fresh Australian produce matched with two glasses of wine or beer.

Love fried chicken?  Find fine friend chicken from all over the globe in the one spot at Scrumptious Reads in the Gerard’s Laneway!  The Lickidy Chick stand will be held over both the Saturday and Sunday, but be sure to get in quick, because Lickidy Chick is lickity split before you know it!

Kick back and be transported to Italy in one of two relaxing destinations.

Enjoy the sounds of DJ Dominqe Bird while sipping on negronis, and snacking on olives up at the newly renovated Sixes and Sevens garden.

Haven’t got enough of Italy yet?  Unsurprising… Which is why your good friends at Bucci are putting on a delicious Aperol Spritz Lounge for your tasting pleasure.  Not only will they supply the chilled out beats and lazy lounges, but you’ll have the most refreshing Aperol Spritz in hand, complemented with arancini and stuffed olives.  Bellisimo!

Never the ones to be restricted by borders, the Gerard’s team will have you in one more global destination during the Food & Wine Trail at their Lebanese charcoal grill.  Join them for a cook-up featuring delicious charcoal grilled meats accompanied by traditional Lebanese sides.

If you’re not quite ready to leave the Middle East, head over to Wheel & Barrow, who have teamed up with their friends at the James St Cooking School to offer an informative discussion and demonstration on Middle Eastern cooking, including tastings and Turkish tea.  As if that wasn’t enough, all customers on Saturday and Sunday will also receive 20% off full-priced items, exclusions apply.
