Arguably the world’s most influential chef, Ferran Adria, visited James St recently to pop in to Scrumptious Reads where some of Brisbane’s best chefs were on hand to greet him.
Mr Adria is best known for Spain’s El Bulli restaurant, which was awarded the coveted number one restaurant in the world for a record five times before it closed in 2011. Hailed as being the most imaginative generator of haute cuisine, Mr Adria pioneered molecular gastronomy that continues to be at the forefront of modern dining today.
Scrumptious Reads provided chefs, cooks and home entertainers the opportunity to get a signed copy of El Bulli: 2005-2011 – the Definitive Anthology of El Bulli’s Final Years. The new title delves into the complex cooking techniques that Mr Adria utilised and is already considered to be one of the most important food publications of our time.
Mr Adria is in Brisbane to help celebrate the launch of the inaugural Brisbane Good Food Month that kicks off in July and will feature many of your favourite James St restaurants for deliciously exciting and unique events. Keep a watch out for the official program!
