James Street is undergoing some major changes. On the corner of Wandoo, Doggett and James streets – you will have noticed the large construction site making way for our highly anticipated luxury resort hotel – THE CALILE.

Designed by Richards & Spence Architects, the masterminds behind multiple James Street landmarks; the architectural design of THE CALILE encapsulates crisp modernity offering a true destination hotel that will set a new standard in design and service.

This iconic hotel will feature seven storeys with 178 luxury generous-sized rooms and suites that will all embrace the best aspects of our lush sub-tropical climate.

THE CALILE will be a true urban resort, offering an oasis escape for local and visiting travellers while still providing access to one of the country’s most highly regarded lifestyle precincts.

A mix of ground floor boutiques and eateries will give way to a podium level designed to be a raised urban landscape – complete with pool, poolside cabanas, a poolside restaurant, day spa, fitness centre and business centre. The podium level will also house a divisible function room with capacity to host round-table banquets for up to 300 guests, while much needed basement parking will be provided for 220 vehicles.

Calile Malouf Investments, who are responsible for delivering our very own James St Market, are behind the development, which is due for completion in the first half of 2018. It is safe to say the hotel will be nothing less than extraordinary and the perfect addition to our ever-growing precinct.
