Dance
Setting the tempo for James St Up Late 2020 is the Australasian Dance Collective.
In an event first, Australasian Dance Collective will get down amongst the crowd at 6PM with live performances choreographed by Australian favourites Melanie Lane and Jack Lister.
Exclusively for Up Late attendees, the performances are a sneak peek of the stunning triple bill, THREE, which also features one of the world’s most exciting choreographers, Hofesh Shechter, which will be unveiled at QPAC’s Playhouse April 1-4.
Australasian Dance Collective is one of Queensland’s leading contemporary dance companies based in Fortitude Valley. With an ensemble of six dancers and multiple new performances created each year, the company has achieved significant excitement and recognition both locally and nationally. Collaboration with dancers, choreographers and likeminded businesses is at the heart of their work and Artistic Director, Amy Hollingsworth empowers artistic risk-taking to create exhilarating dance works for all to enjoy.
